The Gimlet Elixir
Potentially being the first recorded cocktail around 1800, the Gimlet was born out of necessity. Sailors of the British Navy mixed their lime juice rations used to combat the ever-present threat of scurvy with gin. Typically gin in this era was higher in ethanol because it was stored next to gunpowder which still needed to be operational if wet.
Our Gimlet elixeration process starts with our award-winning, world-class London dry gin, combined with fresh lime juice and just a hint of sugar to curb the tartness of the citrus.
Gin takes center stage in this drink with its robust juniper nose and light botanical notes amalgamating perfectly with the zesty tartness of the lime juice.
